I really appreciate the material design and the depth of data the app shows. The interface is intuitive and easy to navigate, and the help features are actually helpful if you need them. When I was trying to decide which brand of smartwatch to get, it came down to the apps. The Garmin Connect app looked so much better, and offered more of the features I was interested in. In the end, I asked myself "which app do you want to look at every day?" and Garmin was the clear winner!

Really weird design, hardcoded "activities" like steps and gym, seems designed for people who like fitbits. Doesn't give any interesting insights or training plans. Doesnt offer any easy way to upload tracks to it to follow when hiking, and offers no functionality when out of cell service, can't export tracks to your phone to use in other mapping apps, can't upload tracks. This app is a big reason why it's hard to recommend the Fenix watches, they don't work well in the backcountry for the cost.

I can walk 3, 5, 7 miles either way I can always see where I have gone. The maps that are generated after the fact brings clarity to my exercise routine. In bad weather i walk large parking lot and the maps will actually help me see where I have backtracked. The color codes helps me in managing my energy level. So the next time I pick up my pace on hills. Love it App.
