Worked once Found this app and was very excited especially when it worked as well as it did but then it just stopped locating the server and hasn't worked since. Would have been a sure purchase but if the free trial is this poor there is no way I'm paying for a app that obviously doesn't work.
This is a great app for what it could be and the only one i could find that streams any audio to your mobile device. However, even on the lowest settings, the strongest wifi connection and lowest bandwidth usage and compression, it still has a rather noticable delay between what's going on on the screen and what you are hearing so, despite being advertised as being able to watch movies on it, it's just not possible. There's also a constant desync/dropout of sound that happens every few seconds for a fraction of a second which in turn makes listening to anything a horrible experience. It does have a lot of potential though, you can stream any audio (music, video, games) to your mobile and use your mobile as wireless headphones, it's just, the state that it's in now listening to anything but music is impossible because of the latency issues which became very apprent in video and games. Still, 3 stars for effort and potential. I'll be keeping my eye on this app as it's one of a kind, and i hope it gets better in the future, but for now, there's no incentive for me to buy the full version.
Great! but a simple feature request I'm totally loving it. But here's a simple feature request. Please consider soon. Is it possible to use soundwire to stream from another Android device which is connected to same network? I've two Android, one is gionee g pad 2 which supports sd card but the music quality sucks. And the other is mighty nexus 5- great sound quality. I'd love to stream from g2 and hear the music by nexus 5. Please make a client app for Android also which will stream from Android. TIA. then is it possible to stream from DLNA?
Just what i looking for. Thank dev. Just a awesome app. Although it take time for me to configure it. Somehow the ip show in SoundWire PC app cannot project the audio to Phone, i tried to use my PC ip which is different from stated in SoundWire PC app, and it works!
+4 for trying this usecase This app is of no use when used with firewall enabled computer. If android device can be configured to work as server then it will be useful.
Used to work for me bfore update I dont seem to get it.. I've gone through the whole how-to page. And I've done everything correctly. Status shows 'connected'in windows xp even the android app does so.But the "level" is zero and does not rise. What am i doing wrong?
-Added equalizer controls
-Added 20 kbps compression bit rate for voice-quality audio. Important: This requires a server update (v2.1.2 or later).
-Added support for non-touchscreen devices (TV).
-New permission: RECORD_AUDIO, this is needed to make the equalizer work properly with native audio.
-Windows Server: Added support for multiple servers/audio channels using port number on command line (see user's guide, "Multiple Channels Using Multiple Network Ports").
-Misc bug fixes & GUI cleanups.
