The app is so unbelievably unoptimized for taking good photos. Photos look grainy, dull, and unnatural. Unless you're taking landscape photo in good light, everything else looks horrid. They don't have an option to save camera adjustments for the 3 things that can actually be adjusted and don't even have the bare minimum of filters. The only good thing about the app is that it is free and there are no adds. However, if you want to improve your photos, use literally any other app.

This is the worst camera I have ever used on a phone (both front and rear). A photo may look great in the viewfinder but after it processes, there's this horrible dark filter that seems to be added. Also makes ppl's faces grainy and accentuates things that you couldn't see in the viewfinder, like wrinkles and bags under eyes. If you check out Reddit this has apparently been going on for a while and no one has fixed it yet. Literally makes me want to go back to my old pixel 2.

Edit: is been a while now, the stabilization in video mode, at least on the Pixel 4a, when zoomed in digitally tend to snap on the right of the scene even if the preview (while recording) the subject is correctly targeted, the final clip appears to be totally off scene, on the left edge, if not totally out. So this makes the uses of the zoom totally useless. (1 star just to highlight this issue)
