Documents aren't updating consistently. No matter how many times I refresh the app, close and reopen documents, or close the app completely and reopen it, it's not updating changes to documents I open. Some of them are showing me versions that are several days old, and they won't let me edit them either, which tells me it knows they're not accurate, but it won't catch up and I can't figure out how to fix it. This bug makes the app legit unusable - I can't edit or write at all. Please fix!

As a writer, I use Google Docs constantly. It's simple to use and the interface works fine for what I need it to do. But for the past MANY months, I've had issues with shared documents crashing, claiming it can't sync changes and making me revert, suddenly not allowing me to edit the document anymore, and the whole app simply giving up on loading certain documents. Update: my old phone was ancient. I now have a Google Pixel 7. The app still sucks. I'm removing a star just for that.

I use Google Docs to work on the books I am writing. It used to be that I could grab the side bar scroll icon and and when I moved it the chapter section headers would appear next to it as a list. This made it incredibly easy to know where I was in the document at a glance while moving the scroll icon up and down the page. 2 updates ago they removed that function, I emailed them about it and never heard back from them. It updated again and its still missing. Now I am upset.
