I have thousands of photos, many really old and poor quality. They are all in albums which take up too much space. Family never look at them. Before throwing them all away, I wanted a cheap, quick and simple way of digitising them. PhotoScan meets my needs. Place the photo on a sheet of white paper, frame the image and take the photo. The app crops the image and rotates. In most cases the resulting image is great for my needs. I do t use the flash and 4 image method.

3 attempts at the same photo and the results were incredibly inconsistent. The moving the camera requirement is obviously a bad idea as it gives poor results as the face in a picture looks different each time. Samsung scan feature is far superior and requires no messing about like this app, plus puts them in my camera app rather than in this app. Poor product

Anything more than 2 seconds to scan a photo is mediocre. I will most definitely update my review as soon as you are there. See the Oppo default text scanner mode. I can scan a full album in minutes. With this PhotoScan it would take me days. The single-shot mode is the one you need to fix. I don't need perfection, just to be able to digitalise and share good-enough photos with my loved ones. Please fix it so I don't need to to back to Oppo... Their support is horrible.
