Edit: 3/5/25: new update erased my collections again, plus the ai models! app IS NOT PRODUCTION READY Not that it ever worked, but the latest update wiped out the collections i spent weeks organizing: 50k screenshots. I'm on a pixel 9 pro xl, it's literally built for the phone, and it's why i upgraded. I've had the phone since SEPTEMBER and it's processed <9% of my screenshots in 5 months. and it still can't find an indexed screenshot even if i tell it the exact date!

Unnecessary, inconvenient app. I can't find if it's even possible to put my screenshots back into google Photos. Screenshots no longer show up in my gallery when I'm texting so I can't easily send screenshots to other people. The AI addition is also entirely unnecessary and is more annoying than anything else. Even when you turn it off, every time you try to do anything on the app it practically begs you to turn the AI features back on. Please let me save screenshots to Photos again, please.

I miss when screenshots were in the photos app. This glorified folder should be a tab in the Google photos app. The reason for 2 stars is if I need to zoom in and move around, the second I drag and release or even tap on the screen it goes to the "AI summary" of what the screenshot is. Annoying.
