About this app

The official YouTube Studio app is the best way for you to understand and connect with the people in your community using the device you always have with you. Use the app to:

- Get a quick overview of how your content and channel are performing with the new Channel Dashboard.
- Understand how your channel and different types of content are performing thanks to detailed Analytics. You can also see performance data for different types of content in the Analytics tab.
- Cultivate a deep relationship with your audience with the ability to sort and filter comments to find the most important conversations in your community.
- Make changes to the look and feel of your channel, and manage individual pieces of content by updating the information for individual videos, shorts, and livestreams.
- Start a business on YouTube by applying for the YouTube Partner Program so you can get access to monetization.

Ratings and reviews

Cannot see audience active time? Cannot change the duration of data? There are so many missed steps, it's amazing! Oh by the way, news flash: changing the appearance of the app does not change the quality of it. The same thing happens on the laptop as well. Certain parameters in the audience section are not linked to the duration that I select. Quite enraging. Purposeless updates. No improvement, only show. You know you can do BOTH, right?

While I'm glad I can manage my channels on the go, a bunch of bugs, app speed, and UI design issues get in the way of my work flow with this app. I really wish someone from YouTube or Google would contact me about this but we all know that's not going to happen. BUGS For example, when I switch channels and respond to comments the replies are made by my other channel username, instead of the proper one where I'm working from. It happens on this phone (Galaxy S4) and my old one (Galaxy J5 2017), so it's not a phone issue. Another thing is the comments in the Comments tab doesn't show all the comments that ARE shown in the Notifications screen. I find the Comments section to have a better layout but since it doesn't show ALL of the comments made on my videos it's unusable for me. UI Usability issues Getting specific video stats take too many taps to get to. There's no indication of comments held in review and spam; you won't know unless you check. The time switching between sections (Comments, Videos, Etc.) and pages is too long. The animations between pages are slow, I wish I could turn them off altogether, they add no value and only slow down administering a busy channel. There are other things, these are just a few of them. I do appreciate the work that went into this app and I see it's getting new features, but if you ask me the core features need improvement first and the bugs need to be fixed first and foremost. Thank you YouTube for all you do for Creators!

Useless for what any actions I see used on a desktop. I downloaded this on my phone, only views and comments. It's REALLY good for that. But open it on your Google Chromebook laptop, "This was not designed to expand, you'll have the phone app version to work with and it can't expand." And I STILL don't have the functions I see on EVERY video editor. So I can't do thumbnails, links, or anything. I can't even edit my video descriptions or ANYTHING. Useless unless you buy a not Google laptop.
