Doesn't work on Google Street view? So not sure if it's this apps fault or Google streetview app. But the streetview works fine in 360 if I don't have the cardboard on but once n I put it on the app takes me to the Google cardboard Web page for some sort of set up. But ts set up and works fine on youtube and any other app. Haven't been able to find a fix. I wanted the cardboard precisely for streetview but it's the only app it doesn't work on.
Amazing! I got a Google Cardboard starwars edition headset for free and got to see what everyone was so excited about. I LOVED IT. If you still haven't tried VR you are missing out big time. You can get a viewer like this on ebay for less than $10. Just be sure to get a v2/the latest edition and not an older viewer. P.S A little useful hack is to staple a large rubber-band to the sides of the viewer and use it as a headband. This makes the experience much more immersive and you don't have to hold it up to your face any more... Also, watching in a dark, quiet room is the best way to blockout outside noise and light interference. Edit: I guess this app and Cardboard is dead... No new update since March 2016...
Locks up my HTC M8 A cursor flickers in the centre of the screen stopping me from being able to use the touch screen. I cannot switch off my phone or switch apps. Had to connect an otg mouse to recover. I reported a similar problem with Google maps. It seems to be a problem with my model of phone. Who needs to fix this, Google or htc?
would be cool but... I dont have a head set with a magnet or other controls...I thought I could buy a bluetooth controller to bypass this but since there seems to be no support or customization in the app to accommodate... my controller can either select the back button or the settings button so the experience of use is me repeatedly removing my phone, pressing on the screen to indicate a choice, putting it back on my face....so the experience lacks immersion :/ willing to rate higher when better controls implemented
Interesting experience for cheap The Google cardboard doesn't fit well, the demos are choppy and basic but the fun factor per dollar can't be beat! They can be easily modified to fit better and I added flexible straps to free up my hands. The app works well with few glitches. I have a Samsung s6 edge plus.
Great going Google One after another Google unveils really interesting app. Cardboard is a blockbuster. This time not only software, Google has done democratization of virtual reality by giving the concept of Google cardboard VR headset which comes dirt cheap so that anyone can use it. Keep coming up with these awesome apps & concepts team Google. शाब्बाश गूगल।
