Ratings and reviews

Spruce is not able to release funds from a pending transaction, and I've done the "back and forth" game with Spruce and the merchant. The merchant tells me to contact Spruce, and Spruce tells me to contact them. I've been using a different bank for the past week, and this hasnt occured. I have to wait 30 days for the last transaction to be returned, which I will be closing this account and continue banking with the new bank. I could go on, but im limited to 500 words via play store. 1 out 5 star

Spruce has been great for years- easy to use, checks deposit quickly, easy to move & save money, easy to get a hold of customer service in the very few times I've ever needed to call. Recently though (2026), the app has had many issues- ie, constantly logging me out & not letting me log back in, freezing, and I've had to uninstall & reinstall it multiple times in the last few months, which has never been an issue before. Hopefully they fix these issues, otherwise its been wonderful & simple!

I always have to call multiple times customer service for certain issues. They are never resolved. I always have a glitch in my app. There's times that it logs me out without any knowledge. And won't let me back in for a while. There's too many problems with this app and customer servicing, helping neither. Being able to add other accounts on here is difficult. Being able to transfer out money to other people like zelle , no options on that. And also , when I try to move money over to saving.
