About this app

We’re slackers. The modern-day climate heroes. The kind of people who help save the world by doing the most basic human thing in life - eat stuff.

We’re running the world’s least ambitious, most delicious climate movement: Radical Slacktivism. To fight over-production and solve food waste.

Join Karma's Slacker Movement. It will feed you.*

*with super discounted food that otherwise would go to waste.

***Now with more than 9,000 connected restaurants, grocery stores, bakeries and cafes in the UK and Sweden to buy take-away food from. The best part? More places join every week!***

************************

I love the idea, but if there is a single shop in Oregon that participates, I can't find them. No groceries, meals, or anything! Huge bummer, but very true to form to the US. I lived overseas and used TooGoodToGo a lot and got bags of groceries for like $10 each, but the US is slow to adopt these kinds of apps, and corporate greed/policy makes these sorts of apps hard to use. Keep advertising yourself to shops to get them on board! I would love to make use of this app.

The app is a good concept, but I have two major complaints. The first is that food advertised as available on the home screen is often no longer available once you click through to the restaursnt page to place an order. This seems like a bait-and-switch. The second issue is that a sneaky fee is added on just before you place the order. I didnt even notice the fee until I had placed many orders. Karma charges restaurants 25% of the sale price, so there is no reason to add an (underhanded) fee.
