I've been with this gym at least 14 years through four name changes (urban active, LA Fitness, Esporta and back to La Fitness). I used a physical card to check in until Esporta instituted the app. Now I need the LA app. I was prompted to enter the first 5 digits of the account used for my recurring dues. entered the number, it doesn't work. I've tried at least 6 times now. I'd rather not give them my phone number to check in every time as the guy at the gym suggested earlier today.

doesn't tell you many things, like if the gym is or isn't open on a particular date (like a holiday), or if the pool is closed for several days. Nor does it remember what is your default/ favorite location, which it should default to untill one looks for another location. poorly designed.

The app is helpful in finding and booking classes and setting reminders. But the sign-up function and tool used to search for gyms is very glitchy. Sometime I can't book classes when they are available and my regular gym doesn't come up in their map and searching tool; even if searching by zip code. To search for a class schedule, I need to select the types of activities I'm interested and find my gym through that list. Updates can definitely be made to improve the user experience.
