It's probably the worst insurance app I've ever used. The assistant thing is extremely slow and never has the options that you need, even the super obvious ones. For example it's impossible to add a car to the policy, which is one of the most basic thing a car instance should be able to do. Filling a claim also goes through the chat assistant, and it's incredibly painful, it takes ages to fill in (a form would 100x better). Really sad that they bought Metromile, their app was awesome.

to start with, I didn't install the tracking device for the auto mileage right away and they tried to charge me a couple hundred bucks for that, then they say the monthly rate will be based upon mileage and if you don't drive very much it should be a low rate, well I did not experience that. there insurance rate was just as high as any other insurance rate so there really was no special deal or savings using lemonade at all.

The process to submit a claim is excruciating. Takes several tries every time, uploading invoices is impossible and when you email them the invoice, it repeatedly says they cannot find it. And of course they don't allow you to file a claim online, because that would be too easy. Horrible app, terrible AI company.
