Very Annoying! I read what developers had to say about "imagine opening your phone and the news is already there, or sports is invading your phone screen, or whatever. Consider this: barely touching your phone and accidentally opening a noisy ad at an inconvenient time, or your phone battery drained due to the app running in the background and you didn't know. That was my experience after attempting to contact the developers to let them know I don't LIKE IT, only to be ignored. GIVE OPTIONS!

Uninstall... It's like a pay-wall or gate-keeper, just to open up my phone. I Do Like Metro, along with other service providers but, I'll check the news or interesting topics, when I feel the need. I don't (Really Don't) want to be inundated with ads and news, that someone Thinks I might be interested in, every time I open My phone. So, trying to disable it, while trying to figure out a way to keep it a little more subdued, without skit being forced on you? Nope. Pop-ups & Reminders, First.

I don't like trying to read an article & being interupted with constant advertisements. i don't mind some but it seems u can never get to the end, so I just give up. & rarely click on to read more. eventually i'll quit looking at it at all. its just too frustrating & time consuming trying to find something out. I like short & straight to the point then to another article.
