Their new policy penalizes you for activating your ticket too late. Not for trying to skip out on purchasing an actual ticket; you have the ticket, you just didn't activate it on time, and so you'll face an $8 surcharge. This is after raising the fare with no improvement in service. It's beyond ridiculous. I'd rather ride the subway.

This used to be a great app, but their new policy changes have made the app a nightmare. I purchased 2 tickets right before train departure, clicked activate, and it only showed me 1 ticket. I figured the app defaulted back to 1 ticket once I updated my payment method, so I bought another ticket, and the app showed two activated tickets. Once I went back to the home page, there was a third unactivated ticket. Was denied a refund since more than 2 minutes had passed since the first transaction.

this app sucks. read all the other reviews. you can only purchase tickets on the day of travel. I purchased a weekend day pass at 8:00 on Friday night. intending to travel the next day. the ticket became effective immediately and expired late Friday night. I requested a refund on the chat and only got the run around that there were no refunds. they sent a screen shot showing a warning that the tickets are only good that day of travel. when I repurchased Saturday morning, no warning!!!
