*Chime SpotMe is an optional, no fee service that requires a single deposit of $200 or more in qualifying direct deposits to the Chime Checking Account each month. All qualifying members will be allowed to overdraw their account up to $20 on debit card purchases and cash withdrawals initially, but may be later eligible for a higher limit of up to $200 or more based on member's Chime Account history, direct deposit frequency and amount, spending activity and other risk-based factors. Your limit will be displayed to you within the Chime mobile app. You will receive notice of any changes to your limit. Your limit may change at any time, at Chime's discretion. Although there are no overdraft fees, there may be out-of-network or third party fees associated with ATM transactions. SpotMe won't cover non-debit card transactions, including ACH transfers, Pay Anyone transfers, or Chime Checkbook transactions. See Terms and Conditions.

‡Out-of-network ATM withdrawal fees may apply except at MoneyPass ATMs in a 7-Eleven, or any Allpoint or Visa Plus Alliance ATM.

^Early access to direct deposit funds depends on the timing of the submission of the payment file from the payer. We generally make these funds available on the day the payment file is received, which may be up to 2 days earlier than the scheduled payment date.

¹To be eligible to apply for Credit Builder, you need to have received a qualifying direct deposit of $200 or more to your Checking Account within 365 days of your Credit Builder application. See for details on qualifying direct deposit.

²Based on a representative study conducted by Experian®, members who made their first purchase with Credit Builder between June 2020 and October 2020 observed an average FICO® Score 8 increase of 30 points after approximately 8 months. On-time payment history can have a positive impact on your credit score. Late payment may negatively impact your credit score.

Chime received the highest 2021 Net Promoter Score among competitors in the industry according to Qualtrics®.

Awesome card! So easy to send money back and forth. The app is super simple to use. Automatic payments are not a problem. They have an overdraft option that costs nothing to use just an option to leave a "tip" if you want to but is not required. You can turn the overdraft option on or off or set a limit to it. I actually got the extra money they offer the same day I got my first direct deposit and my husband got his referral money too. They offer a saving account and more. Highly recommend!

Honestly not sure about any issues anyone else has encountered, but I love my chime card. I wasn't experienced heading into the world of banks and credit, but discovering chime was the best luck I've had. They can track subscriptions, build credit risk free, and the support I've had in my experience was very quick and straight to the point. I definitely think those used to the old may have trouble navigating something so internet based, but at 22 years old, I have yet to find anything simpler.

I love Chime. I get paid 2 days early and I love the automatic saving features. Their customer service is great. I love the spot me feature. It comes in handy when you need it. They will ask you for a tip, but it's optional and I've never had a spot me decrease because I didn't leave a tip. Your amount can also increase over time if you have recurring DD and pay it back every time. I've been with Chime a long time and it's the best banking experience I've ever had.

What's new

This week I decided to let a marketing algorithm robot write the update. Not sure it was the best idea. See for yourself:
Hello fellow humans. How about those fall seasonal changes? Kinda makes me want to pour hot pumpkin flavored beverages down into my throat to celebrate. You should join in celebration by pouring hot Chime app updates down your phone’s throat in a similar fashion. Initiate these performance updates and bug fixes by thumb-pressuring the update button. Fall-themed message over.
