*Chime SpotMe is an optional, no fee service that requires a single deposit of $200 or more in qualifying direct deposits to the Chime Checking Account each month. All qualifying members will be allowed to overdraw their account up to $20 on debit card purchases and cash withdrawals initially, but may be later eligible for a higher limit of up to $200 or more based on member's Chime Account history, direct deposit frequency and amount, spending activity and other risk-based factors. Your limit will be displayed to you within the Chime mobile app. You will receive notice of any changes to your limit. Your limit may change at any time, at Chime's discretion. Although there are no overdraft fees, there may be out-of-network or third party fees associated with ATM transactions. SpotMe won't cover non-debit card transactions, including ACH transfers, Pay Anyone transfers, or Chime Checkbook transactions. See Terms and Conditions.

‡Out-of-network ATM withdrawal fees may apply except at MoneyPass ATMs in a 7-Eleven, or any Allpoint or Visa Plus Alliance ATM.

^Early access to direct deposit funds depends on the timing of the submission of the payment file from the payer. We generally make these funds available on the day the payment file is received, which may be up to 2 days earlier than the scheduled payment date.

¹To be eligible to apply for Credit Builder, you need to have received a qualifying direct deposit of $200 or more to your Checking Account within 365 days of your Credit Builder application. See http://chime.com/applycb for details on qualifying direct deposit.

²Based on a representative study conducted by Experian®, members who made their first purchase with Credit Builder between June 2020 and October 2020 observed an average FICO® Score 8 increase of 30 points after approximately 8 months. On-time payment history can have a positive impact on your credit score. Late payment may negatively impact your credit score.

Chime received the highest 2021 Net Promoter Score among competitors in the industry according to Qualtrics®.

Surprised my 1st thought is that it's aesthetically pleasing when it's a banking app. It's even caught the eye of merchants. Very easy to use & it gives me the sense that they are there to really help me succeed. Using for purpose of diversification & I'm limited- I can't drive because of seizures, so no going to the bank. So Chime is perfect. Everything is delivered on or before the set delivery date. Direct deposit came two days early as well as my secured credit card. I'd highly recommend!

I have used Chime for about 3 years now, and I love it. However, for the last few months, anytime I try to turn off/on my card, and anytime I try to transfer money from one account to the other, the app just freezes up. Then, I have to force-stop the app via my settings and start all over again - very annoying.

I love chime. The only thing I would suggest is allowing people to choose how much they tip for spot me. I've definitely not tipped sometimes because the lowest availability is $10. And I can't be the only one. I'm sure the revenues would be better if you aloud someone to even tip 50 cents to a dollar instead of creating a percentage based tip right off the bat. I am grateful for the spot me perk and would like to show that but im not in the position to tip that much regularly.

What's new

Owning a pet is crazy because every once in a while it’ll start acting funny and the cure will either be a $2,000 surgery or it just needs to go #2—and you just gotta guess which one you’re dealing with. Lucky for you, these app updates are more predictable. Just banger performance updates and bug fixes on the weekly for the #1 most loved banking app. And the occasional writeup about pets possibly having to go to the bathroom.
