Modern Mobile Medicine is a Direct Primary Care practice that provides house call medical services for the whole family. Our service is designed to offer the most patient-centered primary care experience in the comfort of your own home or workplace. We listened to both patients and doctors about their concerns with the broken, traditional health care system, and then we set out to design the most desirable primary care service available for patients and the best way for doctors to deliver that care. We go a little retro and simultaneously cutting edge by utilizing house calls and telemedicine to provide all of our medical care. Just like the old country doctors, we can provide for almost all your primary care needs in the comfort of your home or workplace.

Our doctors limit their practice to approximately 500 patients per doctor, which means that they can spend more time with you when you need them. We do not accept insurance, so you won’t have a middleman in your primary care. Decisions about your healthcare will be made only by you and your doctor. Our patients pay a monthly membership fee, like a gym.

We provide a comprehensive range of medical services, including house calls, office visits, and telemedicine. With home visits, your comfort and convenience are maximized, and risk of germ exposure is minimized. Perfect for families with multiple children! Many medical concerns can be diagnosed and treated without being examined in person. Our doctors utilize various forms of technology from a simple phone call or text, to video chats to give you the best care possible, no matter where you are.

We encourage you to stay up to date with all recommended health screenings. We also provide an annual physical exam that will be fitted to your personal medical needs. It’s all about you, and your specific goals for wellness. We first collect a comprehensive medical history to understand your state of health, your risk factors for diseases, and to determine goals for your health and wellness. A physical exam will be done, and appropriate tests will be ordered.

We have negotiated deeply discounted lab prices for the most common tests that our patients need. Diagnostic and procedural benefits at no extra cost include rapid strep testing, urine dip, simple lesion removal, and minor laceration repair services. Your results, visit summaries and prescription information are available 24/7 on our comprehensive patient portal. You can send non-urgent messages on the portal, update your pharmacy, update your medications and allergies, and upload results from other doctors you might see.

MODERN Mobile Medicine is available in Alexandria, Arlington, and SW DC. We offer house calls in these areas and office visits for those who do not want house calls or live outside the service area. Our regular hours are Monday through Thursday from 9 AM to 5 PM and Friday from 9 AM to 4 PM. We also offer prompt appointments and scheduling an appointment is easy on short notice, even when the office is closed. No need to wait on hold or play phone tag with a scheduler.

We believe that one of the greatest benefits of working outside of the insurance system is having time with your doctor. Schedule as much time as you need, not what your insurance covers. Our doctors can even see multiple family members during one house call when appropriate! You’ll be able to reach your doctor via phone appointments, secure messaging, video calls, and the patient portal. You can’t beat our convenience and accessibility! Members only get advanced access to our team through the Spruce Health telemedicine app.
