Milpitas SMART lets you book personalized, express transit in Milpitas, CA. Milpitas SMART provides convenient, affordable, and on-demand connections between the entire City of Milpitas and the Great Mall, City Hall, Milpitas Transit Center, and VTA light rail stops.

The program combines the convenience of a ride-hailing service like Uber or Lyft with the capacity and affordability of a more traditional shuttle or vanpool service. Riders can request service through the app and be picked up at one of many transit stops throughout Milpitas and dropped off at one of four hubs, and vice versa. Riders select their own pickup and drop-off locations from all the available stops in service.

The regular adult fare is $2.50 per ride and youth, disabled, and low-income populations receive a reduced fare of $1.00 per ride.

Has been a life saver! I needed help to get my kid to school. My car is down needing repair and it's scary to let a stranger take my kid anywhere. But these drivers are VTA drivers and trustworthy. I feel good knowing she's safe. Incredibly convenient, very affordable, and great service! Thank you I just used the service myself and I can say it's an awesome service that I look forward to using again!

Fantastic service with punctual and friendly drivers. But between 1pm and like, 4? It's basically impossible to get a ride unless you reserved it the night before or something. Get more drivers and more shuttles and this would be perfect.

I started riding SMART a week ago, and I love how pretty convenient and affordable my rides are. The drop-off/pickup places are very near, and most of the time, you have the ride to yourself. The shuttles are very clean, and the drivers are friendly. What a fun way to ride around Milpitas!
