About this app

Connect On-Demand is a zero-fare service for residents and visitors to Cache Valley.

Our eligibility based Call-A-Ride service provides origin-to-destination rides throughout our service area for passengers with limited abilities. Our ridesharing POOL service is available to everyone and provides stop-to-stop service within the POOL zone.

All of Connect On-Demand’s vehicles are accessible and can accommodate wheelchairs, scooters and other mobility devices. Our vehicles are operated by specially trained drivers. Whether you want to run an errand, visit a friend, or need reliable transportation to a recurring event (medical appointments, shopping trips, etc.), our service will get you there!

HOW IT WORKS:
- Book a ride on your smart phone by setting your pickup and dropoff addresses, and indicating if you’re riding with any additional passengers. You may also call us to book your trip over the phone.
- Select the preferred pickup window for when the vehicle will arrive. You’re expected to be ready at any time during that pickup window. You’ll receive one automated call or text reminder for each trip you have scheduled, on the day before your trip.
- We’ll give you an automated call or send you a text notification when we’re nearby.
- When your driver arrives, they will wait up to 5 minutes at your pickup location. If they arrive early, they will wait until the start of your pickup window, and then wait another 5 minutes.
- There may be others on board, and you may make a few additional stops along the way! You can track your ride and share your status in real-time from the app.

Ratings and reviews

great app, one downside I've seen is, when you're trying to rate a ride, and your phone times out/you lock your phone, it'll cancel the rating, and you can no longer rate it, or finish 'telling us more'. also it tells you the precise pick-up times before booking, which I really love, and is really helpful if time is a factor. Really like how you can 'favorite' places for easy booking.

Overall nicer than the previous app with a better interface, but it still has a few issues. The app makes you think you can choose where you are picked up, but it just forces you to go to the closest pool stop. Would be nice if that feature actually worked. An ASAP option would be nice too for pickup time where you could see ETA and passenger queue before scheduling. The "let us know" button for describing an issue with the ride/app just takes you to email with no recipient to write anything to.

This is my first time using this app. It took me over 10 tries to set up a ride, and I am still not sure that I will have one. Some directions would be great. Even if they are online.
