I had did so much researches, to find a resort that had so much to do. After reading so many great reviews. I decided this one seemed one of best. We walked into a beautiful resort , yes What a beautiful resort, clean friendly, staff always eager to help. From the entertainment staff, they went above and beyond to insure a great time. I had booked a few water activities from one of the outside vendors through hotel. Not exactly understanding much
I have a favourite restaurant. I will not name it as it will be penalised if I do. I discovered trip advisor had taken a star away from said restaurant as it had four 5* reviews in one day, apparently it's impossible for this to happen. It does not give a accurate star rating to reviews given. I no longer really understand the point.
I loved this app until I realized that Tripadvisor is biased and does not post all positive reviews. I have confirmed with management at a local hotel that their property no longer gets ANY positive reviews posted because the property rewards employees that are mentioned in positive reviews. That policy is contradictory to what Tripadvisor is used for... Reviews... Good or bad. I can no longer trust Tripadvisor for an unbiased review when I travel and I will start to rely more on Yelp and Google. I am very disappointed in Tripadvisor.
Great website but Android app unintuitive and unusable. When searching for restaurants near my location, the map view does indeed show a map, but it's just a Google map of my area. It doesn't show any of the restaurants, making it pretty useless. The desktop site is great, so I wish the developers of that site would talk to the Android app developers!
Capabilities are not quite realized. I have my location all almost always, however the app is very delayed in giving recommendations based on locale. Also it often prompts me to review places I wasn't near. The app should know that and has the potential to be much better.
TripAdvisor, will you please stop foisting the metric system on to your users. I have updated my settings to display imperial measurements for distance - that is to show Miles, not Km - but nope, you still force the metric system on us. In the search results, imperial is now displayed. Okay, that's great. But then when I click on the entry I'm searching for, it reverts back to metric. Very irritating. And I mean come on, I know that your service is global, but nobody (in their right mind) in England works in Km for distance. Get it sorted, please.
