About this app

Mindroid is an AVS (Auditory Visual Stimulation device - aka Mind Machine) app for Android.

It provides each of your brain hemispheres with a signal (either audible or visual) with a slightly different frequency in order to stimulate your brain waves. For more info on this phenomenon please refer to this Wikipeadia.

It helps you Relax, Meditate, be Creative and Productive or Sleep depending on the selected program. It is a great help for those fighting with stress or insomnia.

Stimulation is full-featured and comparable with single purpose AVS devices. Headphones needs to be used in order for the audible stimulation to be effective!

In order to perform visual stimulation close your eyes and match the red spots on your display with your eyes.

Mindroid is fully compatible and encouraged to be used with cardboard goggles or compatible light stimulating glasses or sleep masks.

You are kindly welcome to use Mindroid for FREE if you are fine with the default setting. To take advantage of all the available programs and to mix them with the different environments, please consider purchasing the Mindroid Unlock. Please install the Unlock on top of the current installation (do not uninstall Mindroid).

Thank you very much for downloading Mindroid. Have fun!

CAUTION! Mindroid shall not be used by users suffering any epileptic or cardiac symptoms.

Visual modes explanation:
Monaural: is the main mode and the other modes are really just experimental (use them if you know what you are doing). In monaural the target frequency is used for both eyes.

Binaural: each eye gets a different frequency and the target frequency is the difference between those two

Bihemispheric: is based on the theory that each side of the eye is connected to a different hemisphere

Combo: is purely experimental - it uses all of the above - mainly to induce visual fantasies

I don't know about the science of binaural beats and all that, but as someone who has always struggled to meditate, this app has been very helpful. It essentially overwhelms my senses so that I can't really concentrate and eventually reach a state of mindfulness. Been using it for a couple months and I'd recommend it to anyone who struggles to get past intrusive thoughts while meditating.

Remember folks. Do NOT buy their glasses. I've tried the wired ones and now the bt glasses. I've used rhem over 5 different devices and all have this problem: the light strobes "stutter," which is not part of the program. It's not part of the oscillating strobe, they literally "blink," for a second or two at random times. It's not part of the program because of you do the same program without the glasses, there is no "stutter" or "blink", just normal strobing. In other words, waste of money

Hello, if you have troubles with the device bought from Happy Electronics company, please contact their support. If the issue is caused by some hardware error, the app (or we as developers) has no options to fix it. Thank you.

Great for helping to fall asleep without needing anything extra outside of headphones you can sleep in. Wish it had an extra channel of sound that would be tied to breathing rate and a better way to fall back asleep if in the middle of the night (the start seems to make me slightly more awake if not the initial run)
