Accessibility Service

The app features a series of alarm tasks called CAPCTHA which make sure you do not oversleep. Completing tasks like sheep counting, math equations or scanning a bar-code on your toothpaste will make sure you are fully awake and ready for your morning.

To make sure you won\'t sleep through your duties the app may use an Accessibility Service to prevent you from force stopping the app or turning off the device (cheating) before completing the alarm tasks (CAPTCHA). No private information are collected.

Device Admin

This app may use the Device Administrator permission.
The reason is effective CAPTCHA (a feature to make sure you wake up in the morning) so you cannot avoid alarms by uninstalling the app during an alarm.

Health disclaimer

Sleep as Android is not intended for medical use, but instead to improve general fitness and well-being especially in terms of better sleep. Any oxygen saturation tracking is performed with compatible oximeter devices such as the TicWatch 3 Pro, BerryMed oximeters... more at https://docs.sleep.urbandroid.org/devices/wearables.html

Many thanks to our users for using and supporting this apps!

It seems to record a lot of useful data, yet the app presents you with that data on a graph in which only the X axis is labelled as being time, and you're supposed to guess what they Y axis represents? This makes the data more difficult to interpret and use, and makes the app more of a gimmick. If the developers where to include the Y axis, and maybe if there where some short educational written bits or even a tutorial to help the user better interpret their data, it would be more useful.

Hello Mitch, the top graph (actigraphy) is only a representation of your movement activity level, it does not have any unit. The graph is explained in detail in the (?) help menu (the top right corner of the graph) → Documentation. The Legend option from the same menu leads to a simple legend of the elements of the graph.

The automatic (I do not manually turn it on) sleep tracker does not turn off. Halfway through my day I see it running in the background. I open it up and it shows in the graph I've been awake since 6:30 why doesn't it turn off or have some sort of option to end sleep tracking after a certain time. Sometimes it will randomly end and open up while I'm using another app and ask me to rate my sleep for the past 13 hours.

Hello Kollin, the manually started tracking must be ended manually by the user, or by the alarm. If you prefer automatic option, please enable this in Settings → Sleep tracking → Start sleep tracking → After fall asleep. Please, contact support@urbandroid.org, or use the Left ≡ menu → (?) Support → Report a bug, directly from the app. Thank you.

Usually a reliable app. Been a loyal user since 2015. However after the last upgrade, the noise feature to playback recordings freezes the app. Please look into this problem. Received your reply. No, I'm not using default storage location. It's actually on SD card. Why would this make a difference?

Hello John, newer Android versions are using scoped storage system, which limits access to some locations. Could you please try with the default storage path and let me know, if it helps? Our contact is support@urbandroid.org. Thank you.
