Ratings and reviews

There should not be a conditional scanning feature upon connecting the device. I should be able to have a basic connection to the car without scanning every time I open the app. Please make scanning a skippable option and find a way to code a basic tether to the ECU until I want to scan the entire car. Because of a supposedly "failed" module in my car, the app and OBD device are useless, as it fails to complete scanning every time I do a scan.

I am extremely disappointed in this device which has so much potential. After seeing many reviews, I decided the OBDeleven seemed the best device for coding my Audi, even with the CAD158 price tag. However, I now see there was a policy change in 2025 and every feature has been locked out, except fault reporting. Remaining features show an upsell popup. I need to spend over CAD100 just to use the features that were free a year ago. I now realize I should have bought the VCDS adaptor instead.

It's really gready if you consider that you pay for the device already and have to pay even more in their app just to change settings. Like buying BF6 and needing to buy content later. Hate these monetization strategies. Worst decision to purchase that thing. I recommend investing in a VCDS. Onetime purchase for a lifetime, and most importantly full control.
