About this app

This app is an OPTIONAL tool that allows you to manage your SmarTrip® card and account. This app can NOT be used to pay your transit or parking fares. You do NOT need to setup a SmarTrip account to use SmarTrip in Google Wallet.

Add SmarTrip to Google Wallet:

- Open Google Wallet, tap “+ Add to Wallet”, choose “Transit Pass”, then “SmarTrip”

- In less than a minute you’ll have a new SmarTrip card in your Google Wallet and be ready to tap to pay for rides or parking anywhere SmarTrip is accepted.

If you need to do account management, then:

- Install this optional SmarTrip app to register your card for account balance protection, check SmartBenefits, setup Auto-Reload, or buy money-saving unlimited transit passes.

Favorite destinations and routes have disappeared completely and won't work. Even after uninstalling and reinstalling. There is no way to see train times for a particular stop. I used to be able to see the trains coming at my home and work stops. Now I can't even search for the red line. Useless app. Also the metro is late today, again.

I have bought a pass in the app that doesn't work, I have tried to talk to the customer service and they don't bother. I try to add money to the card and God knows how many weeks it would take for it to reflect in my card, seriously what is the point of this app??? why can't you let the user add money instantly. I tried to add the virtual card to my wallet but their advanced scanning technology in the bus doesn't scan my phone properly. most inconvenient system for public transport in the world.

This app is absolute trash!! the app was working fine when I was using a digital card, but then all of a sudden last weekend, when I tried to add more value on the card, the app started giving me connection problems and I kept getting emails that they Canceled my purchase without explaining the reason why it was canceled. is even contacted their customer service, and it they didn't even address or fix the problem at all regarding their app. After this, I'm going back to using a physical card.

Sorry to hear about the trouble that you're having. Please check with your card provider to verify the credit/debit card settings. Additionally, delete and reinstall the SmaTrip app to ensure you have the most up-to-date version. Lastly, ensure you have a stable cellular or wifi connection. If you're still having issues, please call again. -KB
