App says I need an S/N and verification code from the product. My Gearwrench GWSCAN scanner DID NOT come with either of these numbers. The numbers on the plug aren't it! How is Gearworks charging 70 bucks for their cheapest code reader and not CLEARLY supplying all the information needed for it to FUNCTION? I can get frustrated for free at home, but now I'm out 70 bucks too. If the app doesn't connect to the plug, it is stuck for eternity "trying to connect".

Quite a comprehensive app, heaps of features, data base is pretty big too! Love the live data graphs when testing individual sensors. My one gripe is the connection hang time at times, feels like ages when the boss is watching, I'd suggest if possible to have a 'cancel' button to return to the option menu instead of having to completely closing the app and start over again. Awesome work to all involved in making and continually updating this app and data base.

App is a little slow to load and sync with device but it's understandable considering how powerful this app/device is. Even on a notorious PIA vehicle like a BMW it does most of the things expensive BMW specific scanners do. Two way OBD communication is a game changer. The ability to run system specific tests and control subsystem components makes troubleshooting much easier and far more accurate even when working with convoluted German "engineering". Great product and a great companion app.
