RentCafe Resident App features (options vary based on each community):
- Submit one-time payments in three easy steps with various payment methods.
- Set up monthly automatic payments to help you avoid late fees.
- Share rent, utility, and other costs with roommates using monthly automatic payments
- Submit maintenance requests with photos and voice memos and track progress along the way.
- Reserve community amenities such as the clubhouse, meeting rooms, and pool area with just a few taps.
- Track when your packages are delivered or picked up, all within your app.
- Sign and complete your lease renewal directly in the app.
- Interact within your community through the Bulletin Board.

The RentCafe Resident app has been designed for communities that use the RentCafe platform as their Resident Portal. Don't be surprised when their "service" that monitors insurance status mistakenly tells you your insurance has lapsed because their AI bot can't read properly, so they threaten to force-place an insurance policy. So then you have to go re-upload your documents so that the AI overlords can try again to properly understand a simple document. Also, bring back passwords or at least biometrics. NO, I don't want to link my Google account to give you more of my data.

I have only used the app twice. For my maintenance problem super easy and better than walking to the office plus I have an electronic copy of request, less paper. I rated four stars not for the app itself but the electronic/autopay rent. There is a $4.95 charge for the third party pay system. If o took the bus round trip and bought two money orders from Walmart it would cost me $4.00. The 95 cents doesn't seem like a lot but I can use every penny save Like the maintenance section super easy.

Worked until it didn't. App starts logging in and has the loading icon over the dashboard and then immediately logs me out. It does this if I use email to log in, or the text or email a code. Called the customer service number to be told by the girl just use the browser. I mentioned the browser doesn't have all the features the app does such as door lock and HVAC capabilities and she stated Oh I don't know about the app. I said can you put in a ticket and have someone & told tell apt.
