About this app

MitID is your digital ID. You use it when you want to log in, sign digitally and approve actions in various self-service solutions. If you need to approve on your mobile or tablet, you do it with a single swipe in the app. To authenticate on your computer, scan a QR code.

Activate your MitID
You can activate your MitID in your app by scanning your passport/ID card or with an activation code from Borgerservice. If you have a new mobile, you can copy your MitID from your old app.

In the app you can also...
Check your user ID and change the mobile number you use for MitID.

Have a spare MitID
Having an extra MitID is a good idea. If you happen to lose your mobile with the app on it, you can still use MitID.

So the app kept appearing as blocked while installing, saying I needed to contact support. Once I got through to support, the call always got disconnected. Turns out all I needed to "fix" this security issue was uninstall the app and reinstall it. It is impractical, unsafe, and designed by a person who does not understand UX nor good aesthetics. Oh, what the lowest bid will buy you.

I can get everything to work except "my face doesn't match my passport photo". Face scan is never going to work properly if I have to hold the phone just a few cm in front of my face, all cross eyed trying to follow the instructions. The captured portrait will be all distorted and look nothing at all like my passport photo.

Would give negative stars. Literally doesn't work . I just got a new phone and I tried to log in with my passport 10+ times and it just gives me an error message and crashes. I can't get into any of my social services or bank account. It seems that others have had the same issue for months and nothing has been done to fix it.

What’s new

If you get a new phone, you can activate MitID by downloading the app and then copying your MitID from the old to the new app. You just scan a QR code in the old app with your new phone. To prevent fraud, you will be prompted to enable Bluetooth (+location services on Android) to ensure that both phones are in your possession.
In this release, a significant portion of the app has been translated into Greenlandic. We have also added the option to switch sounds on/off along with other minor fixes.
