About this app

MitID is your digital ID. You use it when you want to log in, sign digitally and approve actions in various self-service solutions. If you need to approve on your mobile or tablet, you do it with a single swipe in the app. To authenticate on your computer, scan a QR code.

Activate your MitID
You can activate your MitID in your app by scanning your passport/ID card or with an activation code from Borgerservice. If you have a new mobile, you can copy your MitID from your old app.

In the app you can also...
Check your user ID and change the mobile number you use for MitID.

Have a spare MitID
Having an extra MitID is a good idea. If you happen to lose your mobile with the app on it, you can still use MitID.

Mitid rarely works. Its absolutely inferior to nemid. The few times that it HAS worked, its been slow and shuts down all the time. Also when you have to confirm something using mitid it doesn't give you a notification, so you have to leave the site that youre on and find the app. Its a small detail that nemid had, that makes it a little easier. Almost every time i try to use it, it tells me that "something went wrong" but it doesn't tell me WHAT went wrong. This system is a dumpsterfire

I've been trying to use it to verify my payments, however, whenever I have to approve it, it just displays an "unknown error" and it's like this for the past few days. I need it for payments, and it's unreliable. This app is ridiculous. After 10 min of trying to get in contact with their support service, they hung up on me. 😂 Looks like they know about the issues and they're overloaded with a shitstorm they cannot fix.

App freezes after scanning the passport chip. The only alternative way to activate it is to go to a physical location, which I cannot, because I don't live in Denmark. Scanning the passport photo page results in the app crashing. Entering birth date is extremely annoying (drop down menu instead of text). Currently locked out of all MitID services. Update: Now you have to scan QR codes to approve a request, which is literally impossible when you are trying to open app on the phone itself. Great.
