Edited to one star. They have released a new feature but it doesn't work. So I am not able to use my card to make any payments. The one thing I need a card to do. Very frustrating. The app itself works well, but there are too many hidden fees. Things are advertised as "fee-free" but are then so convoluted and hidden that they still charge you fees anyway. I've been charged aed1000 through these fees over the past few months and it's really irritating

Absolutely untrustworthy application! I've been banking in the UAE for over 15 years and never faced any issues with refunds from merchants but with Wio, the refund process was a horrendous nightmare! Merchant refunded the amount on 19/3/26 wio rejected it. Merchant tried again on 27/3/26 wio rejected it again and then claims they amount has been received but on the Woo app the transaction clearly shows CANCELLED and it's been 1 month, still unresolved!

Everything was fine until I tried to open a family account. I contacted support via WhatsApp; a case was opened but not resolved. After follow-ups, another case was opened and later closed as “resolved” even though the issue remained. Agents said they could not reopen or escalate it, and one even said her shift had ended and she wanted to leave. The app is good, but the customer support is very poor and unprofessional.
