About this app

McDonald's official app for Japan has always given you access to coupons and other valuable information. Now you can place an order right from the phone, with contactless payment. Take your time to choose what you want, and skip the order line.

What you get:
- Mobile Order: place your order on the way to the store and start it cooking when you arrive

- Recommended specials tailored to your tastes
- Browse through the full McDonald’s menu
- Details on ingredients, allergy information, and nutritional information
- Collect and use loyalty points with one tap
- Now available in English

Mobile Order is easy:
1. Sign in with Email, Facebook or Twitter
2. Choose a store
3. Pick the items you want
4. Choose pick up method (counter, take out or table delivery*)
5. Choose payment method (VISA, Mastercard, JCB, Diners or LINE Pay)
6. When you arrive at the restaurant, tap to confirm your payment and we will start preparing your order, fresh
* Table delivery is available at participating restaurants and during limited service hours. Drive-Thru is not supported. Please park your car, and pick up at the counter inside the store.

Collecting and using loyalty points is easy too:
You can use loyalty point cards by logging in with your Rakuten ID or Docomo D Account from the "Point Card" button in the upper-right corner of the screen.
- Log in with your Rakuten ID to use Rakuten Points
- Log in with your Docomo D account to use D Points
- Loyalty point services are not available for Mobile Order purchases

Two visits in a row I was not able to order the Big Mac set as it shows as unavailable. Had to go into the store to order making the app useless.

We will strive to improve our services further though please kindly be advised Mobile Order function could be disabled due to operational difficulties. Updated to 5 stars! Now I can customise my cheeseburger to skip ketchup! Well done. One last wish: a short description of special items. Good. I don't know why people still queue up to order. BTW, best to add a one line description of special items such as "Tsukimi Burger" - no idea what's inside just by looking at the photo. Changed from 5 to 4 stars because: Unable to specify options such as no ketchup no pickles in a cheese burger. I could do that in a large screen display app in Hong Kong.

The order number is not displayed in the English version. When I tapped account and then order hsitory to find my order, only an inquiry number showed up and the store employee didn't recognize it. I had to check my email to find the MXXX number for the pickup. It was a little confusing where you could pick up and whether you still need to line up too. The store staff at APIA were not helpful when it comes to an English app interface. Couldn't use Rakuten points even though I entered the info.

We are sorry to hear the app did not meet your expectations. The order number displayed on the app screen disappears should you select “Back to home” button. As for the Rakuten point, the point card is for in-store use only and points can only be earned by using Rakuten Pay for Mobile Order purchases. We hope above helps.

● The design of the coupon screen has been changed. This makes it mandatory to update the app to the latest version.
