The app itself seems fine after you get through the initial logins, about three tries. I feel vindicated to read others are having the same experience overall with PenFed. The website is slow...extremely slow. I haven't received a notice from Bill Pay since around 11/2024. No deposit emails with exception of early pay emails. I'm not sure what's going on but I've called customer service a few times to inquire and all I get is that they have to contact the contracted Bill Pay provider. SMH.

This app used to work very well, but since the last update, taking pictures for a deposit is a struggle. The first picture you take is oriented correctly, but subsequent photos are 90 degrees off, and not within the frame, very elongated. It takes much more time to process, and sometimes there is an error message that the check amount does not match the amount entered. It is VERY FRUSTRATING! Please fix this!!

After switching to a new phone, using the fingerprint ID to log in seems to no longer be an option. I have had to use the website instead, like when applying for a CD or credit card. Although, with the website credit card application, I still could not tell if it worked, but I did receive a credit card a few weeks later. It seems like you have to call them to remove and change a linked external account, and you can only have one. Doing the bare minimum on the app works. Other CU apps are better.
