The app itself seems fine after you get through the initial logins, about three tries. I feel vindicated to read others are having the same experience overall with PenFed. The website is slow...extremely slow. I haven't received a notice from Bill Pay since around 11/2024. No deposit emails with exception of early pay emails. I'm not sure what's going on but I've called customer service a few times to inquire and all I get is that they have to contact the contracted Bill Pay provider. SMH.

With the recent software update. It is impossible to verify authentication on the same device. After entering username and password, it prompts for a selection of options to test or call my phone number, but when I click on the incoming text message, I cannot go back to the previous screen to provide the code that I received. So, it is useless. The reason for a 2 star rating is because the push feature works.

This app used to work very well, but since the last update, taking pictures for a deposit is a struggle. The first picture you take is oriented correctly, but subsequent photos are 90 degrees off, and not within the frame, very elongated. It takes much more time to process, and sometimes there is an error message that the check amount does not match the amount entered. It is VERY FRUSTRATING! Please fix this!!
