I love it recently my branch moved it's bank on the installation to the busiest point you can find. I would rather pay ATM fees then go there so the app helps with checks. Sometimes it makes you wish hiding tge money under pillow wouldn't be so bad. Happy holidays all.
Love PenFed and the App PenFed has come a long way in their mobile application and as a CU itself. The 2 major things I wish the app had was Fingerprint Login and Access Bill Pay. Also, I wish there was a way to change my PIN and order a new debit or credit card straight from the app.
Worst banking app Never has up to date information about account balance. I pay my bills online, and receive notification that my payment has been processed. When I check my account balance through PenFed app, none of these withdrawals are posted. Also, my roommate used to be able to transfer funds into my account when it was Ft. Belvoir Credit Union, because I pay the rent and utilities. PenFed app won't allow this, so she now has to write a check to me. This app needs A LOT to make it efficient for customers.
Does the job Small UX issues, like lack of smooth animations and transitions, hinder an otherwise decent app. It would also be nice if it took some material design cues to better match the OS. As for features, there seems to be no option for managing bill pay.
Difficult to use May have good qualities, I can't tell. Everything is so small, and no way to enlarge even the sign in profile name or password space. I might recommend after fixing this issue, but for now, no.
Doesn't update in real-time The balance doesn't update in real-time. It sometimes takes a day or two to update. I'm not sure if it's bad programming or a way to get people to overdraft their accounts so they can hit you with fees, which has happened to me twice before i realized what was going on.
