Not very useful I can't believe a credit union the size of Penfed is so far behind technologically. The app doesn't even provide access to my bill pay, which is a pretty basic feature of banking apps. Both of my other credit unions orovide this functionality. Ridiculous.
Love PenFed and the App PenFed has come a long way in their mobile application and as a CU itself. The 2 major things I wish the app had was Fingerprint Login and Access Bill Pay. Also, I wish there was a way to change my PIN and order a new debit or credit card straight from the app.
I love it recently my branch moved it's bank on the installation to the busiest point you can find. I would rather pay ATM fees then go there so the app helps with checks. Sometimes it makes you wish hiding tge money under pillow wouldn't be so bad. Happy holidays all.
Doesn't update in real-time The balance doesn't update in real-time. It sometimes takes a day or two to update. I'm not sure if it's bad programming or a way to get people to overdraft their accounts so they can hit you with fees, which has happened to me twice before i realized what was going on.
Gets by The app was good, but now doesn't seem to be to open to enter password. Not sure if this is related to Android update. Grrr. It does need access to bill pay and pin #change. On a side note, the bill pay needs a daily total for bills scheduled.
Does the job Small UX issues, like lack of smooth animations and transitions, hinder an otherwise decent app. It would also be nice if it took some material design cues to better match the OS. As for features, there seems to be no option for managing bill pay.
* Fixed a bug preventing some tablet users from closing the check image popup
* Fixed a bug with transfer/payment amount entry
