The app itself seems fine after you get through the initial logins, about three tries. I feel vindicated to read others are having the same experience overall with PenFed. The website is slow...extremely slow. I haven't received a notice from Bill Pay since around 11/2024. No deposit emails with exception of early pay emails. I'm not sure what's going on but I've called customer service a few times to inquire and all I get is that they have to contact the contracted Bill Pay provider. SMH.

Nightmare. Used to be a fairly decent app but they did a recent update a couple of months ago and it has been nothing but issues ever since. You try to get assistance from the customer service line but they just tell you to use the app. How does that work if the app doesn't freaking work?!?! Beyond frustrating. It stinks because they don't have a physical location anymore so this is your only choice. What's the point of even using the bank/credit union and app if it doesn't function properly.

Honestly, the app used to be a lot better. The new mobile check deposit absolutely sucks. I used to be able to take the picture myself, but now it automatically captures the pictures when you line up your phone camera "right". But it captures the image so fast that you can't make it focus at all, and when you do get a decent image, the app will tell you that the image is too blurry. I have NEVER successfully used the updated mobile check deposit. I have a new phone, it's def. not a me problem.
