The Tyler Transit app now supports two services:

Microtransit - the first on-demand Microtransit route for South Tyler, Route 12, to complement existing fixed route services. Riders utilizing the South Tyler route will be able to book a ride by using this app or calling Tyler Transit at [phone]. The ride will take them directly to the doorstep of a destination within three-tenths of a mile of the closest bus stop along the current Route 12 service area. The cost will follow the current Fixed Route operations.

Paratransit - Paratransit service is a shared-ride public transportation system, enabling routes and schedules to be structured to transport multiple passengers to their destinations. The Tyler Transit paratransit service offers origin to destination transportation anywhere within the Tyler city. Trained drivers are available to assist passengers in boarding and exiting the vehicles used in the service. Questions? Email us at [e-mail].

Ratings and reviews

This is the worst transit system I've ever experienced. Make sure you schedule everytime three hours before, especially if you have to transfer. The drivers like to pick people up early, regardless of your "pick-up" time. If you're not there, they "no-show" you, saying that it's your fault, you should be there when you scheduled. Besides that, the system is completely unreliable. It's humans making the mistake. Instead of doing their job and following the manifest, they don't do their jobs.

I've had the awful app for 2 months now, and it's secluded me a ride. I told me a time, then didn't load the map or tell me if it was 30 or 15 minutes away it just told me that my bus driver waited on me and that I didn't show up. This app is actual garbage.
