BRISK WALKING BENEFITS YOUR HEALTH

We all know how important it is to be active. The good news is you don’t have to go to the gym or start expensive fitness programmes, walking briskly counts too!

Just ten minutes of brisk walking every day can get your heart pumping and can make you feel more energetic, as well as lowering your risk of serious illnesses like heart disease and type 2 diabetes. Going for a brisk walk is a great way to clear your head and improve your mood.

Active 10's are simple to fit into your day, from taking the dog out to going for a lunchtime walk there are lots of opportunities to include brisk walking into your daily routine.

This app relies on your phone’s inbuilt sensors to measure your activity so you may experience varying levels of accuracy especially in older devices/operating systems. To improve accuracy, we recommend keeping your phone in a pocket close to your body rather than in a loose coat pocket or bag.

A once great app now totally ruined. don't bother with this app, it's absolute junk nowadays. When will developers ever understand what customers really want, a simple to use app that you don't have to integrate with other stuff like Health Connect, Google Fit etc, I don't give a stuff about them, I just want the app to work like it once did, ie well! Uninstalling today I'm afraid. I'll find another that actually works.

Thanks for your feedback. All Android devices rely on the Google Fit API in order to capture steps data from their device pedometer. Google now requires app developers that use this API for their app to function to integrate with Health Connect in order to continue sharing access from your device pedometer to apps such as Active 10.

Third time losing my progress data. I've been using app for several years and check it many times a day to see how I'm doing. (I preferred your older format which showed how much/what time each walk consisted of). No response to queries about moving my several years of data to new android mobile. (Data had previously been lost from my old mobile and took ages for me to get it reinstated.

Perfect for me. Just 10 minutes of continuous brisk walking earns praise. If it's not brisk, you don't earn the reward, so I'm constantly aware not to walk very slowly. I usually do 3 batches in a row, setting my timer for 35 minutes, just in case i should go too slow. I'm an older person, and i appreciate the brisk pace rather than counting steps like so many apps do.
