About this eBook

In the far future, humanity settles the stars, bioengineering its descendants to survive in a harsh universe. This is the first book in the science fiction series, The Backworlds. A space opera adventure.

After the war with the Foreworlders, Backworlders scatter across the remaining planets. Competition is fierce, and pickings are scant. Scant enough that Craze’s father decides to improve his fortunes by destroying his son. He tells his only boy their moon isn’t big enough for them both and gives Craze a ticket for the next transport leaving the space dock.

Cut off from everyone he knows with little money and no knowledge of the worlds beyond, Craze must find a way to forge a new life and make his father regret this day. First, he must survive.

The author gave me a free copy for an honest review of this book. This author has excellent potential. While the story flows quite well, I could never quite get to the point of relating to the main character. It almost feels as if the author were writing by formula instead of from the heart. Other than that, great story telling, fresh perspective on an old idea that hasn't been really covered, and most of all... I liked it.

Excellent series. Craze is the reluctant hero who steps up in the face of adversity and encourages his fellow adventurers to do the same. I loved the series and totally devoured it. I can't wait to see if more are coming soon.

I thought the book was excellent, i really enjoyed the mix of different races created from gene splicing and the vivid imagery of your words that helped me imagine an accurate picture in my head. i look forward to reading more books in the series.
