What a great story. It didn't take long to become emotionally involved with Charlotte and Jack. They were best friends but he always wanted more. A little modern day Cinderella in that she has an evil step-mother and step-sisters. Her only dream is to one day collect on her inheritance from her father that has been taken over by the evil steps... Jack was her best friend and always loved her. Lots od drama and some competition livens up the story. A great story that was fun to read. Well written with well-developed characters and an entertaining story line. I read an arc copy and voluntarily chose to review. A great addition to the House of Morgan series.

A modern twist to Cinderella. Jack and Charlotte have been friends since elementary school and their lives have had rough patches while growing up. Although never married, Jack's mom left his father and reared them as a single mother. Charlotte's father died, leaving her with a stepmother and two stepsisters and a family owned store. Winds of change blow through their lives like a hurricane when the Morgan family arrives with life-changing news for Jack and his family. Faced with a new reality, Charlotte faces an identity crisis and doesn't handle the change well. As with all Victoria Pinder books in this series, she sweeps the reader into an intriguing story about the House of Morgan and delivers an HEA ending. 5 stars!
