The longer I use the app, the more I appreciate the range of available data. I'm not a runner. I walk roads, hike in the woods, body weight workouts, HIIT, and indoor stationary cycling. I find the app quite accurately reflects my training readiness and recovery needs, as long as I wear my watch during sleep. It can take a while to wrap your head around it all, but it can teach you a lot.

This is so frustrating. The app uses WiFi to connect to whereever and Bluetooth to connect to the watch. Yet this app cause my phone to disconnect from WiFi networks, and the only way to resolve this is to turn off Bluetooth, which means the watch and app can't communicate. so what's the point. I contacted Garmin about the app and watch not connected they replaced the watch but I have the same issues with the second one.

heat maps are a bit poor on the app, when you zoom in they disappear. They can be very fient, almost so fient that they cannot be seen until you zoom in to a certain level, then when you zoom in a little more, the heat map disappears completely. Compared to the strava heatmaps, they are quite poor, although creating a route does seem a bit easier.
