I've had this about a year. The description reads: "Automatically back up the important things on your phone, like photos, contacts and messages... notice it says "like." Now I personally regard my calendar as an important thing. I accidentally deleted my calendar on another device. had a rude awakening that the backup DID NOT include calendar nor does it have the capacity to include the calendar. in fact you need a non Google app in order to be able to import and export a calendar back up.

can enough be said about 10 years plus of taking pics, then being forced (holding ransom) to pay to keep them, then downloading them one at a time for hours to find only the icon is good, the videos are blank and all is worthless as material? Unfortunately, I can't ever look at what remains w/o crying. The positive is... I learned to quit taking pictures.

Limited choices. When I back up my phone. I want to back up the essentials, not all of the apps or programs on my phone. Google 1 doesn't let me do that - it's all or nothing, so it's usefulness is limited. Most apps, I can download again & I get my info back by logging in to my account, so I don't need to back them up. But Google 1 makes me back everything up (or nothing) so it's wasteful. Google also has much less storage capacity than Yahoo or Microsoft, so it's always "full."
