Nearly 15,000 different chemical substances can be used in cosmetics. Which are controversial? Which are the most natural? Can some of them have a negative impact on our health or the environment?

Whether you're at home or in a store, INCI Beauty deciphers the contents of your cosmetic products or helps you gain insight before you buy.

INCI Beauty allows you to:

• View the detailed composition of a product by scanning its barcode or searching for it.
• Obtain a rating for each product between 0 and 20.
• Consult detailed information sheets for each cosmetic ingredient and quickly access their regulations worldwide (Europe, Canada, United States, etc.).
• Find a cleaner alternative to products whose rating doesn't satisfy you.
• Browse offers from different online retailers to purchase the product you're looking for.
• Enter restrictions to exclude an unwanted ingredient family.
• Share your opinion with the community using the like/dislike button or by writing a comment.
• Manage your bathroom content.
• Create and share skincare routines with other users.

• Choose an avatar, add a bio, indicate your social network profiles.

Each component is rated according to its level of hazard or its potentially adverse effects on humans and nature. Ratings and reviews

So far I love this app. I've been checking all my products and adding photos. Fascinating to see how some ingredients that are allowed (and in so many products) are banned elsewhere. Something to think about. The one huge negative are the full page ads. The first one I saw upon opening the app was for Facebook and I clicked it thinking I'd be using my FB account to use the app. The X on the ads needs to be more obvious. Other than that, I don't mind the ads. The app use is worth it.

Amazing app. It has over a million products in the database! For each product it tells you each ingredient, how safe or hazardous each ingredient may be, and why. There's tons more information, including reviews, offered on each product too. It's super easy to use and has 2 ways to look up products (either scan a barcode or type the product name). You can also take a picture of an ingredients list or type in an individual ingredient. There are also a few ways to catalog your products too.

Would be nice if ads didn't randomly start playing when I opened the app or tried to search for products using the barcode scanner. I was shopping in store and pulled up Inci and to scan a barcode and an ad for Farm Heroes started blaring from my phone 🙄🙄
