MyChart is an ok repository for medical records, but it's not great for setting appointments or for communication with doctors. There are different confusing ways to contact the practice and half the time they don't seem to get my messages. For appointments I've found in most cases it's a lot easier to just call by phone. There is a lot of functionality here, but in terms of usability, the site and the app are not intuitive. They need to hire some better user experience design professionals.

Thank you for the review. Many aspects of MyChart are controlled by your own healthcare organization through setup and settings. We recommend reaching out to them for support. If you don't know how to reach them, email us at MyChartSupport@epic.com, let us know the issue and the organization name and we can look up their contact info for you.

Updated 9/8/25. Thanks for your prompt response. Will do. :) One week can't log in. App instructed me to call the help desk. Several tries, no answer, so opted for voicemail message with login details twice. Still no assistance. Originally cleared cache, force stop, open. Same exact issue. Today, unistalled app, then reloaded. Exact same issue, contact help desk. I can't believe this is happening, especially with no message except for an issue with 2 factor authentication, which isn't my issue.

We're sorry to hear you're having this issue. Please email the details of this issue to us at MyChartSupport@epic.com, include the information listed here, and let us know which health system you are logging into so we can troubleshoot further. Each health system hosts their own instance of Epic, so we may ultimately need to reach out to them.

The overall app is great- but lately it's been crashing, hasn't been loading correctly, kicks you out, and won't let you access your information at times. It's frustrating to say the least. Doesn't matter if you're using the app or website. For some reason, it seems to only be happening for specific medical centers. Some load perfectly fine, others consistently don't.

What's new

If your healthcare organisation is part of the MyChart Central network (currently only available in the United States), the login page now shows a single login field, and you can create a passkey using your Epic ID to make logging in simpler and more secure. The To Do activity is now easier to find while admitted, making it easier to manage tasks. These features might become available to you after your healthcare organisation starts using the latest version of Epic.
