Truly frustrating experience. Why would I want videos I liked on YouTube to show up in the playlist I use when I'm driving? Oh you like that song and want to hear more from the album? Tap the three dots at the very top of the screen then click the 8th option from the list on the bottom of the screen. You want to listen to a song in the middle of a podcast then go back to the podcast? Good luck finding the right one and if you do it will be at a different spot then when you stopped it.

Since the death of Google Podcasts they pushed this waste of code as their only replacement. They already had a functional podcast app and instead of rolling that into this one, they decided to have this. There is nothing of the useful functionality we had. It takes FOREVER to load ads before it will play your podcasts. Even on WiFi. If you pause and come back a half hour later it has dumped all the buffer and you have to wait all over again. Auto-downloads don't delete after you listen to them.

Youtube music is a good app especially user friendly except that the app does not remember my selection for repeat or shuffle or both. Other media apps do remember your selection for your playlists if you had it on shuffle or repeat before while youtube music does not. That is my only gripe with this app. Update after a year from making this review, they still haven't made it possible to save your selection of shuffle and or repeat, it's literally the only downside I've ever noticed lol
