If you opt in to the Gemini app, it will replace your Google Assistant as the primary assistant on the phone. Some Google Assistant voice features aren't available through the Gemini app yet. You can switch back to Google Assistant in settings.

Ratings and reviews

Compared to other AI options, I think Gemini is a good choice. For now, its best used in combination with other AI platforms, because each offers advantages and disadvantages. I would not give any platform more than three stars yet, because they have not reached a point of practicality that would earn the five star rating I would like to give them. If the Gemini development team would like more feedback, you are welcome to contact me in person.

Repeatedly says something went wrong. Tried everything and it won't generate a thing. Will be canceling subscription. I found out it will kick people out of the server at random if you hit a "fake" set limit. They usually won't let you generate for an hour or so but tonight it's been close to 3 hours. Paying $20 a month to be "limited" based on what the servers could handle. I don't recommend at all!

Okay as of 6/17/2026 I dont know what to say, its just trash at the moment. It basically forgets everything, and for us rpers. It flags everythin and anythin, if I make a fight scene I just get terribly flagged. If I make a character sad for the overall plot and it makes sense flagged. It just doesnt make any sense I just hate it. In the past I was able too make fight scenes. I dont even do gore at all- I know not alot of ppl use this for rping, but this still applies too me personally.
