Just got my new vivoactive 5 today. Watch is good butFirst impressions are that the UI of garmin apps look super outdated, it feel like something from the 2010s. I also don't like how there are different apps for different functions, I don't want to have to instant garmin connect, garmin IQ store etc. I just want a singular app that does everything. The whole proces feels clunky, fussy and just inconvenient to use. The watch faces can't be easily changed either, and face it doesn't load up...

Looks nice - doesn't work though... Server connection issues for this app and having to download 10gb of topo maps just to see what's around my part of the UK mean I'll soon run out of memory and that's before I add music. What a crock and it won't even let me buy the premium maps as that's broken too... Months I've deliberated over this and I wish I hadn't bothered.

This app was excellent, I have had a garmin watch for over 6 years, well pleased with all its functions and the ease of use to view activities. I was in the process of looking to buy a new Garmin watch and then the change the look and and access to the recorded activities, I hate it, isn't find what I want easily, difficult to navigate. Can't understand why they have taken this action, there are many more like me. Not impressed, will not be updating my garmin watch now, need an alternative.
