Keeps bothering me about granting access to notifications and calendar permission (which I have no intention to do for ANY app), every half an hour or so. I turned off anything notification related in app settings, but didn't help. According to Android guidelines an application should be able to work without unnecessary permissions in best possible way.
Update: Most recent update has made it unable to sync with my VivoActiveHR. It's been 3 days now and no new activity shows on my app. I've uninstalled and reinstalled a couple times, so pretty disappointed. Hope it will be fixed asap. Plenty of helpful info to aide marathon training, which enhances each run. Not gonna make or break my runs, but offers convenient feedback to improve performance. Easy to use and quick to sync, otherwise it wouldn't be worth it
Needs more/better/consistent pairing with other apps. I bike a lot but use my Garmin as an activity tracker, and love the range of "activities" (sleep, cycling, calories), however since I don't have a "compatible device" and rely on apps and phone tracking alone, I have to manually put in ALL of my biking information. When that is the case, and biking is a huge portion of your caloric output, AND it takes forever to input, and is not always necessarily accurate....it makes me less likely to use it at all.
When my Fitbit but the dust after less than a year, I decided to advance to a Garmin as in a Garmin fan in general. Good move and one of the reasons I like it is the app. It connects with a lot of different products and I love the options for adding watch apps and such. I do think the app itself could be a little more straightforward, but overall very good.
Needs feature to add a secondary sleep phase eg afternoon nap. Also, with my Fenix 3, sleep tracking supposed to be automatic. However, it only seems to log times that input for my 'normal sleep hours'. No good at all for those of us that have a varying sleep pattern or that work shifts. Please fix
Has worked fine for me. Main lack is showing progress. There is surprisingly little there. I want to see if I progress over time, in my effort expended, exercise times, running performance on the same routes. I also lack being able to take photos during my runs, somehow. I use a forerunner 920xt.
