Please, for the love of all that is good, FIX the permission removing glitch!! It's happening almost twice a day now. And the fact that someone in my group was able to tell me the fix for it immediately tells me it's obviously affecting a lot of people. If someone who's reading this had a file switch to read only, find this app in settings and delete the data (yes data, cache won't do it) and reopen the app.

Unusably broken. Tried to open up the spreadsheet I'm editing, and it loaded up a cache of it from 2024, froze, then crashed. Okay, I thought, obviously that's when I last looked at it on my phone, that's understandable. On next load it gave me a cached version of the spreadsheet from February instead. Had to uninstall it to stop the website redirecting to the app, but doing that has let me at least read the current version.

The sheets app is very buggy and limited. Even when I'm logged in, it won't let me edit sheets that I own and have editing access to sometimes! Also hardly any editing options for charts/graphs. Don't expect to be able to do more than very basic things on mobile and only then if it's a publicly shared file!! Edited to add: I wrote the above a year ago. Is it better? No, still the same issues, no improvements. Awful. I should just switch to excel/office probably.
