Absolutely useless! 😡 As my 2015 Peugeot 2008 does not have the voice activated feature that later model have, I installed Google Assistant on my android phone - hoping to be able to make calls hands free via voice command. It works perfectly whilst the engine is not running. Surprise surprise, start the engine and ask it to call someone, and all I get is "Sorry, I didn't understand"!! 😡 If there was a way of awarding zero stars, that's what I would have done!

The screen reader can't even handle English - my default, and surely(?) its own native, language! Just now it pronounced 'easy' as 'ease-u' - seems like it's trying to work out words from pictures in an unknown alphabet. Maybe we should be impressed that it knows there's text there at all?! I expect they'll break that too with the next update. Laggy, inconsistent, prone to reading the list of accessibility features instead of what I tap on... and now this. Not useful, not fit for purpose.

11/27/24: There is no way to shut off the screen prompt for quick phrases without disabling the quick phrase. I love using "stop/snooze" for alarms/timers & "answer/decline" for incoming phone calls. I hate that the prompt completely covers up the caller's name. It should be possible to disable the onscreen prompt. Also, the email listed in the app store is disabled. 3/19/26: Every time you use the voice assistant, it prompts Gemini. If I wanted the AI, I'd use it. I don't. Leave it alone.
