edit: for some reason they limit the exchange rate and alerts to your location's currency, which makes no sense. had to remove a star for this weird choice. It's fast and the fees are much better than bank transfer (even within the same bank). It has saved me thousands of HK dollars at this point, easy. They even show you competitor prices but I've found the list to be wrong, and I've tried many alternatives - Wise still ends up being the cheapest.

Used to love this app but completely impossible to get it to deal with the fact that I moved country. I was happy to start a new account to comply with rules but it's impossible to actually do so as you get flagged as an existing user when you enter your details with no clear method of recourse. Ended up surrendering and switching to Revolut. I expect issues with lots of services when moving country but I still wrongly expected better from a company specialising in international money transfer!

I wanted to perform a bank transfer from a UK bank account to a Spanish one, as this is the cheapest option. However the bank transfer page explained nothing - took me to my bank account to authorise, but then nothing happened. The system appears to be stalling at this point. I was therfore forced to pay more for a debit card payment. This was not a good first experience using Wise.
