Ratings and reviews

...In the past, I could copy text in any app and it would pop up a floating Google Translate button. Touching the button would translate text. Now, copying text no longer evokes the button. I can't seem to fix this in the Google Translate settings, no combination works. "Tap to Translate is on" and always has been (for a long time). There is a separate setting, "show floating icon," but if I turn it on, the icon is there ALL THE TIME whether I want to translate or not...& the text I've copied..

I'm unable to use the app for the past few months. Everytime I try and translate a word (regardless of what language), it states that I need to check my internet connection. I've restarted the app, and even tested the offline function via airplane mode which saw some partial success when downloading the language packs, but this serves as an unfeasible alternative in the long run.

Generally reliable translations between English, French, Italian, and Spanish. I'm disappointed that my translation history was deleted by the web activity setting to delete stuff after 3 months. That setting needs to be more clearly explained, more granular ie by app. Lost many key phrases. Could care less about search history or YouTube history, but I have to turn off web activity deletion to keep my translations! I don't like the recent UI changes in this app.
