Once you’re booked on a cruise, plan your entire vacation from the app. Reserve shore excursions for every port, purchase or upgrade beverage packages for endless toasts, and internet packages to stay connected while at sea, though the app is free to use on ship Wi-Fi.

Put together the perfect spa day... or days... and make dining reservations at distinctive specialty restaurants. Explore other pre-cruise deals in the arcade, check out VIP Passes and make your cruise truly special with gifts and gear. And don’t forget to link reservations with your travel party so you can make plans together.

Set sail like a pro

As your cruise approaches, use the app to check-in and qualify for the fastest boarding experience. Before you head to the terminal on boarding day, begin your mandatory safety briefing and access your set sail pass.

To plan all the fun, find all the shows and activities in the Daily Planner and build your personalized calendar. We’ll even remind you with a notification when you have plans.

Be sure to smile for the camera because you’ll be able to view, purchase and download your photos right from the app (on select ships). Find your way around with detailed deck maps and chat with your travel party through group or 1-on-1 chats. Track your onboard expenses in the app (or not... you’ll be on vacation, after all) and learn how to book your next cruise while onboard for the best deals.

Ratings and reviews

First time cruiser and the app was great when it worked. It would lose connection to WiFi and messages would not send through the app to my other family members. We would have to logout and back in or close the app. At times(I assume when a lot of people on it) it would not even load. Otherwise when it did work it was great for getting info and events I needed as well as operating hours for restaurants and shops.

It is definitely not consistent. Sometimes it will show the excursions I haved signed up for, but mostly my calendar is just blank. UI is crazy confusing having one day to pull down and another to scroll through sideways, like it was put together by two competing groups. Sigh, no other choice as far as apps since it is their one and only official app :-( I did get it to work, however for the second time since installing I had to remove all the saved data for the app.

The app has the right content, but it doesn't work consistently. The ship time is often out of sync and the app often freezes up. Messaging is a great feature to help families stay connected while on ship, but you have to close out of the app and relaunch it to see any new messages. Again, great thought and planning but needs to perform better. Family I have brought on a Royal cruise tell me that the other cruise lines' apps work better.

What's new

With this release, we added the option of placing a courtesy hold on a cruise while you're exploring vacation options. We also added the ability to sign e-waivers in the app for onboard activities like FlowRider, iFly and ice skating. We improved the app’s speed and usability, and fixed bugs. Make sure you turn on auto-updates, so you can keep up with all the ways we improve the app.
