Horrible setup utility. Still takes over TEN attempts for setup? It has been years! No attempt to improve at all sucks. Update: Nevermind this is unusable. Been trying to connect for an hour now and the app cannot communicate with my Chromecast. I don't think they care because they want us to buy newer versions but I'm just going to switch to a fire stick.

In order to connect to and set up my Chromecast, the app asked me to turn Wi-Fi off and wouldn't allow me to progress if I didn't. After 10 minutes of trying over and over the way it wanted me to, I ended up turning Wi-Fi back on in the middle of it searching, and it finally worked because it used a personal Wi-Fi network to connect, not Bluetooth like the app said. It did eventually work, but this sucked so much to use.

Eventually I tried activating my Google Home Minis using the Google Home app on my iPad, and it worked! If you're struggling, try using the Home app on an Apple or Samsung device, it might work and save you from a bricked device! I tried all the tips others suggested in their reviews, but no luck, I could not activate any devices using the Utility app on my Pixel 6. Google obviously doesn't care that this garbage app doesn't work and abandoned it. Horrible experience, glad I found a workaround.
