I changed ISP providers, and the router booted itself into oblivion: no Internet, wired or wireless. After a couple of attempts, a firmware update, and lots of reading, this app changed everything. I had to piggyback the TP-Link on to my original (ancient) router for Internet access, but this app helped me to change the settings that crippled it from the original ISP switch event.

The app is utterly useless to set up range extenders. Most routers now have a WPS button, and if you push that, and then the button on the extender, it just works. Meanwhile, the app has no capability to recognize this and still tries to push you through some other means which does not work. It gets to a step where it asks for a password that is neither app password or the wifi password. Tried both 10 times and got locked out. Utterly useless app. Poor customer service through app as well.

Fairly useful and quick access to the device. But lack of advanced features makes it much less useful. Need to login through the site to get access to those. So far it's working, though I've had some minor issues where I reconnected and it kept saying only one person could be logged in at a time and it took 5 mins to time the disconnected profile off.
